5 Women You Should Know About

heymamaAmri Kibbler and Katya Libin met when their babies were 3 months old, thanks to a lost blanket: Amri’s nanny had left her daughter’s favorite blanket at Katya’s house, so Katya invited her over to pick it up. They started chatting and discovered they were both eager to find “their people” – moms who loved fashion, food, art, fitness, and their careers.

And that’s how Heymama was born. It started out as a community of smart, driven women sharing stories and advice with each other. As more people joined, it became a full-on movement – like-minded moms following their dreams, building their own brands, and juggling parenthood with support and guidance from each other.

All this has led to Heymama Membership – an official way you can join this group of inspiring women. Here’s how it works: With a paid membership, you can connect with other members, have access to perks, and attend events IRL across the country. It’s basically the dream “mom group” brought to life.

To give you a glimpse into the awesome women you’ll meet, we asked Amri and Katya for their Mamas to Watch in 2017.

nickiNicki Sebastian is the photographer of choice for cool moms on both coasts (she recently moved from Brooklyn to LA). Her unique style and ability to capture the moment has given her quite the following – clients include Jenni Kayne, Rebecca Minkoff, J.Crew, and Doen to name a few. We can’t wait to see what she does next. 📷 @nickisebastian

2.

jacq

Jacque Tatelman and her husband started a camp for underprivileged kids that’s described by everyone that goes as nothing short of magical. When she saw kids bringing their belongings to camp in garbage bags, she dreamt up State Bags, a one-for-one of supercool backpacks that helps kids in need. Fun fact: Beyoncé took notice of the difference she was making and partnered with her on a project. BEYONCE!! 📷  @jacqtate

varley

On a much-needed vacation to California, Laura Mead and her husband walked from Santa Monica to Malibu while daydreaming about a less stressful life where they actually got to see each other. And that’s how their co-designed activewear line Varley was born. The fashion forward, high performing line has been a smashing success and is currently carried at more than 150 US retailers. Try it on and you’ll see why. 📷  @donnaidadenim
