PEAK MOM MOMENT:
Seeing my kids play together. Even when they fight, watching their sibling love grow and develop is the best thing imaginable. They look out for each other. They miss each other. They have games only they know about. It’s such an incredible friendship.

LOWEST MOM MOMENT:
Anytime we are on an airplane. My kids refuse to sleep in planes or cars. I really don’t understand those people who make traveling with toddlers and infants look so easy – I barely survive every time.

THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A MOM IS ____________.
Demanding as many hugs and kisses a day as I want! Also, lots of bubble baths and the clean babes on the other side.

2Elle Strauss, Fashion Director at Brides

PEAK MOM MOMENT:
She makes me proud everyday, but recently her 1st grade teacher told me she made Honor the official ‘peace keeper’ for the class, as she’s a great mediator and is friends with everyone from the girls clique to the least popular. My heart literally burst and I had to hold back the tears.

LOWEST MOM MOMENT:
Oh gosh doesn’t this happen regularly?! A few years back, there was torrential rain in NYC and I was carrying bags of groceries, an umbrella, and holding Honor’s hand. She decided to have a meltdown, insisting I carry her and sat down right in the middle of a puddle on a busy street and refused to move. At the end of the day, you have to have a sense of humor about these things. I ended up throwing the umbrella, chucking Honor over my shoulder, and just accepted that we were going to very very wet!

THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A MOM IS ____________.
Being a mom is basically the best thing ever. It challenges you in each and every way possible but is so rewarding. I also never knew it was possible to love these little people quite so much!

PEAK MOM MOMENT:
Watching Sebastian complete his first grown-up jigsaw puzzle blew my mind. While I have to look at the box and using logic to place the pieces, he just sees where everything belongs instinctively. He’s truly a puzzle master. It’s like watching the movie The Matrix.

LOWEST MOM MOMENT:
The time my husband and I both forgot to pick him up from school because we each thought the other was doing it. When I got there, Sebastian just gave me this sad forlorn little look (though I suspect he was milking it a little). And I obliged with a candy treat.

THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A MOM IS ____________.
Knowing you have a hand in shaping what our future world will look like, through this innocent, trusting little person.

4Erin Walsh, Celebrity Stylist

PEAK MOM MOMENT:
The second I realized I had let go of my fears about being a mother and embrace the rawness of everything I have to lose now. It took me about a year to realize my love for Matilda. It really just flooded me one day when I realized how much I have at stake now and what a wonderful little person she is becoming. The whole first year I was really afraid of letting go and letting the love in, but the moment I did it, everything changed.

LOWEST MOM MOMENT:
In the beginning, amidst being utterly and completely sleep deprived and getting back to working far too early, I broke down in tears, feeling completely overwhelmed and like I would never be enough for her or even my own expectations.

THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A MOM IS ____________.
The love. I never knew how much I had in me before. It is astounding, truly.

5Grace Lee, Founder of Nine Naturals

PEAK MOM MOMENT:
I was giving Charlotte and Frances a bath together and Frances, who was only 14 months old at the time, unexpectedly leaned over to Charlotte and gave her a big hug and started kissing her over and over again. It was the sweetest thing to see so much affection from Frances at such a young age. Sisters rock!

LOWEST MOM MOMENT:
We once tried to pass through the airport lounge with Charlotte by nodding along when the agent asked if she was 2 years old. When Charlotte saw us she shouted, ‘I’m not two! I’M THREE!’, we had to embarrassingly admit her real age and pay $25 to bring her into the lounge, and then try to explain to Charlotte why we were ‘stretching the truth’.

THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A MOM IS ____________.
Watching the girls be sweet and kind to each other warms my heart. I know they’ll always have each other’s backs (though I’m sure they will have their sibling disputes over the years too).
